WAGNER, Carol

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 14, 2007 Carol Wagner, 55, of Lakeside died Sunday, Dec. 9, at Snowflake following a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Hayward, Calif., the daughter of Udell Pete and Katherine (Horton) Wagner Carol was raised and attended school all around the country, as her father's work required frequent moves. She graduated from high school in Plymouth, Maine, in 1970 and lived in Farmington, N.M., for a number of years. She came to the White Mountains in 1985. She had worked as a bookkeeper for several companies and enjoyed reading and writing short stories. Survivors include her mother, Katherine of Lakeside; sister Sandy Rogers of Farmington, N.M.; brother Ron Wagner of Redmond, Ore.; stepsister Dianna Howard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two nieces, Lori Hamel and Holley Yoder of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete, and older brother, Dennis. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to RTA Hospice, 1789 W. Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.
