Kenneth L. Baker, 69, of Vernon died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007. Kenny was born in Springfield, Ill., Aug. 2, 1938, to Wilbur and Kathryn Baker.
He and his youngest brother Charlie spent their childhood and school years in Springfield. Kenny entered the U.S. Marine Corps where he served two terms of service before attending two years of college.
He spent a short time in Prescott before moving his family to Phoenix to take jobs with C.A.P. Canal and Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant. In 1983, he moved to Pinetop, where he became an active member of the White Mountain Sheriff's Posse, while working as a surveyor. After 45 years, Kenny had found his home in the White Mountains.
Kenny is survived by his younger brother, Charlie; his sons, K.C. and Aaron; his daughter, Amy; and his grandsons, Cameron and Chase; as well as all of the friends he has touched along the way.
