GUNDY, Janet

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 14, 2007 On the evening of Dec. 7, 2007, Janet Gundy left her earthly home to be with her Heavenly Father. During her earthly life, Janet, like her husband, was a builder. She fashioned a supportive home for her children, crafted careers in teaching, real estate and the antique business. Janet developed a life filled with family, friends, church and adventure. She also loved the mountains and forest that surrounded her White Mountain home. She left this world a better place than she found it. "You've taken your smile and warmth with you, but you left so much more. We will miss you dearly." Here on earth, Janet leaves behind her husband and life-mate of 59 years, Cletus; son Jospeh (Linda); daughter Suzette (David) Shaffer; and eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Tucson. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Soroptimist International of Desert Tucson, P.O. Box 13317, Tucson, AZ 85732. Janet supported this charity and belonged to it as a member. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
