MELTON, R. R.

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona January 2, 1988, p. C4 R. R. "Ray" Melton, of Litchfield Park, a retired Air Force colonel, died Dec. 30, 1987, in Chicago. He was born in Henderson, Kentucky, and was a World War II and Vietnam War veteran who was awarded the Silver Star, Flying Cross and Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughter, Diane; sons, Ronald and James; a brother; and five grandchildren. Services at the Church of Litchfield Park, Litchfield Road and Fairway Drive. Menke Funeral Home made arrangements.
