Floyd L. Wright, 60, died Dec. 12, 2007, at his home in Alpine. He was born Sept. 18, 1947, to Wayne and Faye Wright in Scotia, Calif.
He was raised in Grants Pass, Ore. Floyd owned and operated his own logging business and spent a year in Indonesia teaching logging. He worked as a heavy equipment operator doing road construction. He also worked as an inspector for Sunrise Engineering and then for Atwell-Hicks.
Floyd enjoyed spending time in his RV and spent five years traveling throughout the United States. In 1993 he bought an RV park in Alpine where he settled.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Alpine; daughters Michelle (Matt) Newkirk of Salem, Ore.; Alicia (Dave) Bratset, San Ramon, Calif.; stepson Ron Plaster (Shelia) of Fairview, Okla.; grandson Devon Bratset; great-granddaughter Gabriel; brother Mike Wright of Wilderville, Ore.; sister Sally (Howard) Yarbrough of Selma, Ore.; nephews Michael Yarbrough of Selma, Ore., and Raymond Yarbrough of Selma, Ore.; and niece Loren Yarbrough of Selma, Ore.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Faye Wright.
