Patrick L. Frazier, recently of Prescott, Ariz., passed away peacefully at his sister's home, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. He handled his terminal diagnosis with the same remarkably positive attitude that he displayed his entire life.
Patrick was born Aug. 5, 1950, to Neal and Dorothy Frazier in Circleville, Ohio. He graduated from Circleville High School in 1968, went on to college and was drafted into the Army in 1970. He served in Vietnam and was proud of the fact that he answered his country's call.
He lived and worked many years in Columbus, Ohio, remodeling homes, but in 2000, he moved to Mesa, Ariz., and then on to Prescott, where he remodeled some of Prescott's older homes and served his veteran brothers. He was a respected member and past officer of the Color Guard for Ernest A. Love Post 6 American Legion. He was also a member of the VFW and Eagles.
Patrick is survived his father, Neal R. Frazier of Circleville, Ohio; his sister, Diana, and brother-in-law Tom Jones of Mesa, Ariz.; his nephew, Ian Fry of Flagstaff, Ariz.; Jan Melton of Prescott, Ariz.; and many, many loving friends. He will be missed.
Services will be 1 p.m. Aug. 14, 2010 at the Bob Stump Chapel on the VA hospital grounds in Prescott. Flowers are welcome, but anyone wishing to honor Patrick in other ways may do so by giving their time to serve a veteran.
