Former Resident Dies In Arizona 

Lee R. Simon, 81, died May 3 at Mesa, Arizona. He was born at Ackworth, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Simon. He was a former Madison County resident, attending the Winterset schools. 

Mr. Simon served with Company A during World War I and had completed 32 years with the United States Air Force before retiring. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and a brother, Hubert, of Winterset. 

Note: Lee was born Oct. 21, 1895.
