William S. "Bill" Gallamore passed away on July 12, 2010, at his home in Cottonwood, Arizona. He was born November 26, 1922 in Altamont, Missouri, to Saul and Marjory Gallamore.
Surviving is his wife; Hermina "Ruth" Gallamore, daughter; Lisa Gallamore, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Lee, and two brothers; John and Robert.
Bill served in the US Navy from 1939 to 1945, surviving the bombing of the USS Lexington, while fighting in the Pacific.
His career as a carpenter in Southern California showcased new homes, Cabinetry, and rebuilding of fire damaged homes.
He served twice as Exalted Ruler for the BPOE 2050 in Inglewood, California. He also was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Moose Lodge.
He retired, with his wife, to Cottonwood in 1986 and thoroughly loved his life in the Verde Valley.
A memorial service will be at the VFW Hall Post 7400, 705 East Aspen St., Cottonwood on July 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
