Mary Mamie Jeffries passed away Aug. 12, 2010, in Lake Havasu City at the age of 91. She was born to Andrew and Susan (Kovalcik) Bacha Dec. 28, 1918, in Newark, N.J. On Nov. 11 of this year, she would have been married 66 years.
Mary made Lake Havasu City her home 37 years ago after moving from Davison, Mich., where she worked for A&P Grocery as a cashier for 18 years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
Mary leaves behind her beloved family: husband, Victor Jeffries, of Lake Havasu City; son, Jon Victor Jeffries, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Jacquelyn Marie Harnick (Brad), of Swartz Creek, Mich.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one on the way; one niece; four nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Bacha Sr. and Susan Bacha; two brothers, Andrew Bacha Jr. and John Bacha; and one sister, Sally Wheeler.
