GALVAN, Henry

Thompson Funeral Chapel Goodyear, Arizona Henry Galvan, 63, of Goodyear, died August 17, 2010 in Goodyear. He was born July 27, 1947 in Brownsville, TX to Petra and Victor Galvan. He moved to Arizona 17 years ago. Mr. Galvan served in the US Army during Vietnam and later served in the Coast Guard. He was a deacon at 1st Southern Baptist Church in Avondale. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lupe Galvan, his daughter, Christina Galvan, his sister Margaret Quintela, Rita Hernandez, and Edna Galvan, brothers Carlos Manuel, Peter, David, Felix, and Tino Galvan and 5 grandchildren, Pete, Reyna, Reynaldo, Gabriel, and Armando. He was preceded by his son Henry Galvan and brother Victor Galvan. Visitation will be Monday, August 23 at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel from 6-8pm. The service will be Tuesday, August 24 at 10am at 1st Southern Baptist Church in Avondale. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
