Felix Miranda Garcia passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 after a heroic fight against cancer at the age of 66 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Miami, the son of Belen and Cayetano Garcia.

Felix is survived by his wife, Esperanza; son, Robert Alexander (Shannon) Garcia, Sr.; daughter, Angelica Michelle (Juan) Yguado; granddaughters, Micaela Felicia, Victoria Diane and Samantha Michelle; grandsons, Robert Alexander, Jr. and Nicolas Valente. He is also survived by his brothers, James Miranda and Gus Monteverde, and sisters, Lily Rocha, Paula Jimenez, Virginia Ortiz, Alicia Caldwell, Patsy Martinez, Angie Avila, and Rosemary Goar. 

Felix’s body has been donated to science to provide hope for a healthier future. 

Services will be at Holy Angels Church in Globe, Arizona, on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. and mass at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow.
