MARZILLI, Donald H. (Big Don)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, August 26, 2010 Donald H. "Big Don" Marzilli, 66, of Gallup, N.M., formerly of Flagstaff, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, in Gallup. Mr. Marzilli was born May 24, 1944, in Chicago. He was a devoted father and friend. His 40-year career as a roofing contractor took him to Los Angeles, Gallup and Flagstaff. His interests included golfing, computers and being an avid Yankees fan. He was sergeant in the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces Group. "We will meet you in the morning just inside the eastern gate." Mr. Marzilli is survived by special friend Judith Welker; daughter Jennifer J. (Vince) Baca; son Donald F. (Sharli Jo) Marzilli; sister Sharon Casillas; brother Dennis (Pat) Marzilli; six grandchildren; and many loving nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Lorraine Marzilli; brothers Ronnie Marzilli and Darryl Marzilli. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Citizens Cemetery -- Veterans Section. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the family or Flagstaff Tabernacle Church. Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary is handling arrangements.
