CANTY, Roy Allen

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 9, 2007 Roy Allen Canty, 79, died Nov. 4, 2007, in Show Low. Roy was born Sept. 28, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., to the late Ralph and Elenora Canty. Roy retired from IBM after 20 years. He and his wife, Garee, moved to Show Low after nearly 30 years of residency in Tucson. He is survived by his wife, Garee Canty of Show Low; son David Canty of New York; five daughters, Susan Hall, Amanda Jolitz, Erin Rednour, all of Illinois, Theresa Mashburn of Alabama, Colleen Maki of Georgia; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson, as well as many cousins. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elenora Canty and brother Blaine Canty. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
