PHILLIPS, Gordon Irving


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 20, 2007 Gordon Irving Phillips, 89, died Nov. 10, 2007, in Show Low. He was born Jan. 13, 1918 in Perry, New York. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Gordon's favorite passions were hunting and fishing which he enjoyed for many years. He even killed an antelope with his best friend, Danny Weaver, of Springerville at the age of 89. Gordon retired from Kodiak after 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Bea Phillips of Springerville; son Gary Phillips, of Nonda, N.Y.; daughter Judy (Oscar) Ponikvar of Show Low; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger and Bobby Phillips as well as a daughter Lori Phillips. No services are planned at this time.
