KENNEDY, Willard A., Jr.


Black's Mortuary Show Low, Arizona Willard A. Kennedy, Jr., 81, of Show Low passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at his residence. He was born February 10, 1929, in Los Angeles, CA, to Willard and Eleanor Kennedy, Sr. He was raised and attended school in Los Angeles. He received his electronics degree and went to work as an electronic avionics engineer. He was married to Nancy Palmer on September 1, 1973, in Santa Barbara. He had worked for 52 years in his field, spending several years with Air Research at LAX and Gulfstream in Long Beach. He and Nancy came to the White Mountains in 1987, where he continued to do consulting work as long as he was able. He loved his work, and enjoyed baseball and the old movies. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Survivor include his wife, Nancy; daughter Emily D. Kennedy of Simi Valley, CA; sons, Kevin C. Kennedy and wife Cathy of Tarzana, CA and Kenneth H. Watches of Show Low; brothers, Robert V. Kennedy and wife Diana of Westchester, CA and Walter A. Kennedy of Show Low; granddaughter Krystal L. Bailey and husband Brian of Green Bay, WI; great grandchild Mason Lee Bailey; nieces Kathleen Brown and husband Troy of Westchester, CA and Sharon Josten and husband Derrick of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 28, in the chapel of Black's Mortuary. Interment will follow at Show Low Cemetery.
