She was born October 23, 1918, in Balintine, TX. She was raised and graduated from high school there. She came to Arizona during World War II, first to Douglas where she worked in the aircraft industry and then to Tucson. She spent 6 months a year for many years in Heber and she loved the White Mountains. She enjoyed crafts and baking. She was of the Baptist faith.
