‘Burgie’ Paul Franklin Conroy, 48, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Feb. 23, 1960, in Glendale, Calif.
Burgie made Lake Havasu City his home 12 years ago from Paul, Idaho. He worked for several TV stations, such as ABC, CBS, NBC and Universal Studios as a stage hand in Los Angeles, Calif.
He loved to go boating, ride in the Glamis dunes, go shooting with his buddies and causing trouble when the opportunity arose. Burgie especially loved the time he spent playing with his grandchildren and helping his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, and VFW.
Burgie leaves behind his wife, Carmela Conroy, of Lake Havasu City; son, Paul Franklin Conroy II, of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Eileen Conroy, of Las Vegas, Nev. and Lisa Stanfield, of Lake Havasu City; parents, Harold Edgar Conroy Sr. and Adele Emmy Conroy, of Lake Havasu City; brothers, Harold Edgar “Butch” Conroy Jr., of Newhall, Calif., and Thomas Laurence Conroy, of Arleta, Calif.; sisters, Mary Helene Cody, of Spanaway, Wash., Adele Emmy “Dada” Engle, of Brentwood, Calif., Catherine Christine “Cathy” Rappleye, of Newhall, Calif., Dorothy Louise Huggs, of Canyon Country, Calif., Lucy Louise Riffle, of Mooresville, N.C. and Patricia Laura Halstead, of Columbia, Tenn., and two granddaughters, Katie and Emma.
Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m., at the Eagles Lodge.
