SULKY, Jean Frances


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 30, 2007 Jean F. Sulky, 72, of Show Low died Nov. 23, 2007, in Show Low. Mrs. Sulky, a homemaker, was born Feb. 23, 1935, in Klamath Falls, Ore. She grew up and attended school in Seattle before moving to San Francisco when she was 10 years old. She graduated from Daly High School in Daly City, Calif., in 1953. Following school she worked as a musician, playing the clarinet and saxophone. In 1954 she married Garret Krause and they made their home in San Jose. Together they had three children. Garret passed away in 1981. Following Garret's passing, she renewed an old friendship with Paul Sulky, and they were married Jan. 2, 1982, in Seattle. Following their marriage they made their home in Seattle, until retiring to Ocean Shores, Calif., in 1989. In 2002 they moved to Show Low. She loved to play bridge, enjoyed both indoor and outdoor gardening as well as traveling. Jean is survived by her husband, Paul L. Sulky of Show Low; sons Thomas M. Krause of Mesa, Lawrence R. Sulky of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; daughters Cheryl F. Beck of Morgan Hill, Calif., Susan K. Allen of Federal Way, Wash., and Pauletta J. Duffie of Renton, Wash. She was preceded in death by sister Sharon and daughter Deborah. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Owens Mortuary Chapel in Show Low.
