NELSON, David William

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 4, 2007 David William Nelson died Nov. 27, 2007, in Littleton, Colo. He was born Oct. 16, 1983, in Fort Defiance. David graduated from Round Valley High School in 2002. He was an Eagle Scout. David attended Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo., where he was active in the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. He was an avid video-gamer and loved music, skiing and soccer. He is survived by his parents, Michael Nelson and Sally Deswood Nelson, and sisters Rachel and Miriam Nelson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, at Isabelle Mission in Lukachukai, American Indian Science and Engineering Society, Colorado School of Mines Chapter. Desert View Mortuary of Shiprock, N.M., handled the arrangements.
