The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 7, 2007 Josephine R. Jarvis died Dec. 2, 2007, in Visalia, Calif. He was born July 22, 1925, in St. Johns to Gottried and Miriam Rothlisberger. Josephine married Andrew Lee Jarvis June 25, 1942, and celebrated their 65th anniversary this year. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She wrote about the life history of her father, which was published. She also enjoyed playing piano, baking and sewing. She had 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Jarvis of Visalia, Calif; children Charlotte "Charli" Phillips of Visalia, Calif. Ronald L. Jarvis of Maryville, Tenn., Fred G. Jarvis of Grand Junction, Colo., Roscoe Daniel Jarvis of Reseda, Calif., Lisa Barnett of Van Nuys, Calif and Tim S. Jarvis of Santa Clarita, Calif.; as well as a sister, Mary Jarvis of Yuma. She was preceded in death by daughter Claudia Jarvis and son Richard Jarvis. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Visalia, Calif. Interment will be at the City of Mesa Cemetery. Miller Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
