CONLEY, Peggy Irene


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, June 30, 2008 Peggy Irene Conley Jan. 5, 1921 – May 21, 2008 Peggy Conley and Kenneth Conley passed away May 21 and May 31. They married Nov 23, 1940, and lived in Michigan until moving to Arizona in 1974. Peggy was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Toledo and was a homemaker and librarian most of her life. Ken was born May 23, 1916, in Canada and was a WWII Army Air Force veteran. He was an electrician for Detroit Edison for 32 years and after retiring to Arizona, became a cabinetmaker and operated Conley's Custom Cabinets in Lake Havasu City. They were preceded in death by a son, James. The couple are survived by five daughters, Claudia (Mark) Mekaru, Krista Conley, Melinda (Glenn) Trombley, Marilou (tom) Snider, Janice (Timmy Lee) Anderson, a son, Timothy; a daughter-in-law, Jill (James Conley); nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 West Bethany Home Road in Phoenix, with cemetery services immediately following at the VA National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix.
