BURNES, Jean N.

Jean N. Burnes, age 82, of Phoenix, passed away December 28th, 2003. Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, she moved to Phoenix in 1957. 

Jean was a dedicated homemaker, active member of Sts Simon & Jude Cathedral, and member of Phoenix Baptist Auxiliary. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Donald Burnes, daughter Beckie (Bob) McLarty; Denise (Greg) Silcox; sons, Don (Sharon) Burnes, Jr., Jim (Denise) Burnes; sister, Ruth Neary; 15 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. 

Jean will be remembered for her keen sense of humor, her strong love of her family, for being a caring wife, mother, & grandmother and a loyal friend. We will miss her. 

Memorial Service Friday, January 2, 2004 at Sts Simon & Jude Cathedral, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Sts Simon & Jude School. Arrangements by Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale, AZ.
