EVERY, Donald W.


Donald W. Every, 80, a resident of Sedona, died December 28, 2003. Born in Clinton, Michigan, Mr Every was a World War II Veteran of the Merchant Marines. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. A brilliant engineer, Mr. Every spent 32 years working for Hughes Missile Systems in California and Tucson as a test equipment engineer. He owned a Phoenix manufacturing company, Pyramid Products, for 10 years. Mr. Every was involved in music groups: the Canyon Singers and the Red Rock Chorale and St. John Vianney's church choir until about three years ago when his vocal chords were damaged during some of his many operations. Mr. Every was a very devoted husband and father. Mr Every was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Trudeau Every; and a sister, Dawn; and is survived by his loving wife Chris; daughters Jane and her husband, Jim Santa Cruz, and Catherine Kmak; sons Gerald Every and Richard Every and his wife, Gloria Sue; stepdaughter Kathy (Gammons) and her husband, Bob Steck; a stepson, Paul Gammons; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will dearly miss their loving "Grandpa." Mr Every was dearly loved, and will be sadly missed by all who know him. His warm and gentle manner will be well remembered by all of his family and many friends. A funeral Mass will be said at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 180 Soldier Pass Road on Saturday, January 3, 2004. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church or the Arizona Heart Association. Arrangements are being directed by Greer's Mortuary of Sedona.
