Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, June 24, 2008 John Stephen Venable, beloved father and grandfather, passed away May 31, 2008, at his residence in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 22, 1946, in Gary, Ind. John moved to Lake Havasu City 16 years ago from Long Beach, Calif. He was the owner of Commuter Carriers, Inc., in Lake Havasu City. John is survived by his sons; David Venable, of San Gabriel, Calif.; Kendall Venable,of San Gabriel; stepdaughter, Regina Green, of Compton, Calif.; four grandchildren, Brandon, Kalin and Kealani Venable, of Pasadena, Calif., and Jonathan Venable, of Fontana, Calif. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Venable. John also leaves behind a host of friends who will miss him dearly. Services will be private.
