Larry Merle Albee passed away July 31, 2010, in Lake Havasu City. He was born on May 24, 1932, in Burlington, Wash., to Merle and Pearl (Dotson) Albee.
He started hunting and fishing as a family pastime at an early age; it became a lifelong passion. He passed on his love of the outdoors to his children and stepchildren that will be cherished by them all.
He retired from Puget Sound Energy in 1994 after 30-plus years. That fall, he married Dee and they were “Snowbirds” till making their home in Lake Havasu City permanent in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Dee; son, Larry Steven Albee and daughter, Debra Armfield, both of Moses Lake, Wash.; five stepsons, Mike, Dennis, and Steve Kelleher, of Monroe, Wash., and Sean and Joseph Burns, of Anaheim, Calif.
At his request, there will be no services; a celebration of his life will be Sept. 5, 1 to 3 p.m. at 4101 Sponson Drive, Lake Havasu City. One will also be in Washington at a later date.
