Maxine Ruth Sturgeon, age 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 26, 2010 in Midland City, Ariz. She was born in Morenci, Ariz. on Dec. 14, 1938 to Maud and Raymond Gardner.
Maxine was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was truly a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her personality can be described in her favorite color, yellow.
Maxine was truly a happy person, and even when people met her in passing they would remark what a happy person she was. In everything she did, she showed her love for those around her. This can be seen in the way she laughed, called her family members to sing them happy birthday, and her efforts to make the Christmas holidays special. It was these characteristics that made Maxine the person her friends and family love.
Maxine leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Leona Sunseri; her three children, Daniel, Robert and Anna; her son-in-law, Mehdi Amiri; and her two grandchildren, Merissa and Mina. Maxine also leaves behind countless friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Gardner.
