Mrs. Ethel E. Morris, age 71 of Globe, Ariz., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010 at her residence in Globe. She was born in Hillsboro, Mont. on Aug. 15, 1939, the daughter of James and Fannie Pounds.

Ethel lived in Arizona most of her life and worked as a cashier at Safeway.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Pounds of Globe, Ariz., and her brother, Dwaine Pitts of New Florence, Mont., as well as two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Pitzer; and sisters, Gerry Newburn, Irma Roberts, and Barbara Statham.

Services will be private.

Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
