Norman M Walton Sr., 75, fell asleep in death Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. He passed away peacefully in Peoria, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 17, 1933, in West Chester, Pa.
Everyone whose life he touched, he charmed with his humor and vitality. He loved life and he lived it to its fullest. He loved and provided for his family. He was an adventurer, moving his family from Pennsylvania to Lake Havasu City in August 1972, where he lived until his recent move to the Phoenix area. There was never a dull moment around Norman, a lover of music, dance, laughter and people.
He was a very hard worker and took pride in all things he did. He was baptized and became an ordained minister in June 2000 and served his creator Jehovah faithfully.
He left behind Ann, his wife whom he loved unconditionally; his children, Norman Jr (Lilia), Michael (Yvonne); and his grandchildren, Josie, Angela and Amanda, who loved him deeply and will miss their Pop Pop a lot. He also left behind his youngest sister, Lois, and numerous nephews, nieces and close friends who cared for him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Sr.; mother, Ethel; brothers, Charles Jr, Richard and Robert; and sister, Doris.
All who knew Norman Sr. are invited to attend his memorial to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 3200 S. Jamaica Blvd. in Lake Havasu City on June 14 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immanuel Campus Care Terrace I, 11301 N 99th Ave, Peoria, AZ85345.
