Frances Seljan Rudd, 87, of Phoenix, died January 1, 2004. Born April 5, 1916 in Hammond, Indiana she and her husband Douglas moved to Arizona 25 years ago from Great Falls, Montana. He preceded her in death December 2001. Frances was a veteran of WWII Women's Army Corp. She is survived by her two sons, Joel of Phoenix, Jess of Bellingham, WA; three brothers, Steve, Frank and Jack Seljan all of the Hammond, Indiana area, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, January 3, 2004. Memorial Contributions may be made to Women in Military Service for America Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Dept. 56, Washington D.C. 20042-0560. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted with arrangements. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/4/2004.
