STINNETT, Joan

(Maiden Name: Peterson)

Joan Stinnett, 72, resident of Phoenix passed away Dec. 31, 2003. She was a loving wife to Vester C. Stinnett and mother to 8 children. 

Joan was born Feb. 12, 1931 and settled in AZ in 1954 from her hometown of Gunnison, UT. She was a bookkeeper for Beneficial Life and a childcare provider for several years. 

Joan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in Young Women, Primary, Relief Society, and sang in the R.S. Singing Mothers. Joan enjoyed all family activities, poetry & music. She was preceded in death by her mother Rebecca J. Larsen, father Merrill A. Peterson, sons Barry Lynn & David Lamar & granddaughter Tiffany Chriss. She is survived by husband Vester C. Stinnett, sisters Nancy Memmott & Rita Debenham, sons Robert (Elaine), Randal (Janie), Reid (Jackie), Richard (Roxanne), daughters Rebecca (Perry) Chriss, Rachelle (Brad) Bartholomew & 26 grandchildren. 

Visitation Mon. Jan. 5th, 2004, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary 719 N. 27th Ave. Service on Tues. Jan. 6th at the LDS Rose Lane Ward 5801 N. 38th Ave. in Phoenix.
