Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Ann Louise Wallrath, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, May 19, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. She was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Saginaw, Mich., to Herbert and Ethel Schnell. Ann had a successful career as a secretary in several different fields, her favorite being an assistant to a college Dean. She had a wonderful life filled with friends, family, travel and her cat, Tracy. Ann always enjoyed card games, swimming, reading and just enjoying life. Her family and friends will truly miss her and feel the loss, but are happy to know that she is now in a better place and free of the dementia that plagued her in her last years. Ann is survived by her brother, Herbert (Lorraine) Schnell; her nephew, Michael (Kerry) Schnell; their children, Matt and Amanda; and her niece, Linda (Robert) Whitson, of Lake Havasu City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Mcleod Wallrath, who passed away many years ago. No memorial services are planned, as per her wishes to be cremated and be returned to the earth in her beloved Washington State. The family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu and Brenda from Heritage House for all the care and comfort they provided for Ann and her family.
