Robert N. Maserang Sr., born March 29, 1939, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the age of 69.
Robert was a well-respected local craftsman. His first job in Lake Havasu City was on the original London Bridge Pub and Restaurant. Other work can still be seen at various locations, such as the Island Fashion Mall, the gazebo outside the mall, Shugrue’s, McKee’s Tavern, and hundreds of local residential homes in Lake Havasu City.
Robert served his country proudly under the direction of the United States Army. He married his beloved bride, Colleen Boyd on Feb. 4, 1961. He and his family moved to Lake Havasu City in the summer of 1971 from St. Louis, Mo.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Colleen Maserang, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Robert Jr. and David Lee Maserang, of Lake Havasu City; daughters in law, Charina and Beth; grandchildren, Jeffry, Nicole, Eric, Ethan and Kayla Rae; great grandchildren, Katlyn and Ean James; brothers, William Maserang, of Springhill, Fla., and Russell Maserang, of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters, Maxine Sullivan, Jean Maserang and Sandra Hicks, all of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Bertha (Ferkel) Maserang and two brothers, George and Larry Maserang.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 5 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
