Jon Walter MacLellan, 59, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. He was born Dec. 18, 1948, to John and Betty (Babin) MacLellan in Windsor, Canada.
Wally, as he was known to his family and friends served proudly under the direction of the United States Army. He was a member and a dedicated volunteer for the VFW, a member of the American Legion and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Contractors Local 18. He loved the outdoors, playing in the sun and surfing. He especially loved Lake Havasu City and the playing at the lake. He enjoyed working with his woodworking tools and was a lover of country and western music and dancing.
Wally leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 21 years, Sherry MacLellan, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Kim and Suzanne Cross; brother, Robert (Susan) MacLellan; sister, Cathy MacLellan and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Words of comfort and inspiration will be presented by Pastor Chad Garrison Inurnment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Wally's name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404 or Calvary Baptist Christian Academy1605 S. McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.
