GARRISON, Jim

Jim Garrison, 73, died Feb. 21, 2002 in Casa Grande. Visitation was held Tuesday at Valley Funeral Home. The funeral there followed with the Rev. Harvey Williamson and the Rev. Doyle Russell officiating. Burial was in Eloy Memorial Park. Mr. Garrison was born Sept. 15, 1928 in Leachville, Ark. An Army veteran, he lived in this area for 55 years and was an Eloy police officer. He also was a carpenter and delivered ice. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include a son, Roy Garrison of Eloy; two brothers, Roy Garrison of California and Birl Garrison of Eloy; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Zaragoza, and six brothers and sisters, Harold, Ores and Darrell Garrison, Lola Thurmond, Joy Oppman and Irene Hale.
