Irene Peck Titus, born on June 17, 1918, close to Jefferson City, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, Scottsdale, AZ. Married to Frederick Augustus Titus on September 26, 1938 in Southern California, they lived all over the country but settled most of their years in Kansas City for 30 years, and then to Scottsdale, AZ for the last 20 years. Fred died in 1985 and since then Irene (Renne to her friends) loved to garden, swim, paint, play bridge, and participate in Church activities. She was also an active member of the DAR and Colonial Dames. She was always happy giving of herself to others. Her husband, Fred, and her son-in-law, Richard Kiene, Jr., predeceased her. She leaves her son, Mark Titus, and his wife, Beth; her daughter, Jean Kiene; and four grandchildren, Lisa Kiene, Richard (Hotchy) Kiene, Chas Titus, and Missy Titus. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Lane, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253, on Tuesday, September 3, 2002.
