The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 29, 2007 Keith A. Lee, 71, of Scottsdale, died Oct. 24, 2007. Keith was born in DeWitt, Michgan Sept. 18, 1936. After a stint in the National Guard and college he embarked upon a 20-year career in radio and television broadcasting in Michigan and Memphis Tenn, followed by restaurant ownership in San Diego for several years. Keith moved to Scottsdale in 1982 and began a real estate career spanning the next 25 years. He served on the board of directors for the chambers of commerce in Phoenix and Pinetop-Lakeside as well as the advertising and promotions committee. He and Joanie moved to the White Mountains in 1998 where he continued a successful real estate career until December 2006 when they returned to Scottsdale for medical treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer at Mayo Clinic and Scottsdale Healthcare Shea TGen Research Institute. He is survived by his loving best friend and wife, Joanie, who shared with him 15 precious years, and step-daughter Sharla Bullard of Vancouver, B.C. Also surviving are four sisters in Florida and Michigan. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. He also leaves behind his golf buddy and friend extraordinaire, Jerry Allen, whose love and support extended beyond all expectations throughout Keith's illness. Keith's wishes will be honored with a private family service and return to his beloved White Mountains for eternal rest where he and Joanie spent the fondest memories of their life together. Cremation has been arranged by the Neptune Society. Deep appreciation to Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale Healthcare Shea T-Gen Research Institute, Scottsdale Home Health and Hospice of the Valley. A very special expression of gratitude goes out to Louise at the Eckstein Center for being the angel who assisted Keith from his painful final days through his transition to peace.
