Virginia Carol Gese passed away peacefully Aug. 30, 2010, at Quick Adult Foster Care in Lake Havasu City. Virginia (Honey) was born June 2, 1927, to John and Eva (Hein) Weber, in Aberdeen, S.D.
Virginia married Frank Gese June 26, 1947, and they lived in Aberdeen, S.D., until 1991 when they moved to Lake Havasu City to be closer to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Virginia worked at Artz Camera Store in Aberdeen for 35 years as a photo developer and made many great friends along the way. Honey raised one son, Marvin, and she devoted her life to her family.
Virginia (Honey) leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Marie Zimmerman Gese, of Lake Havasu City; her grandchildren, Jeffery Gese, of Seligman, Carmen (Chris) Hogard, of Lake Havasu City, Darin Gese of Las Vegas, great grandchildren, Brittany Hogard, Zachary Hogard, Ryan Gese; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Marvin; five brothers and one sister.
A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Virginia’s life from 3 to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at 4018 Window Rock Road in Lake Havasu City.
The family would like to thank New Hope Hospice and Juanita Quick for their great care and compassion. In the words of her great-granddaughter, Brittany, which reflect Honey’s personality and the feelings of her family; “Heaven just got a feisty angel.”
