Mildred Edith Wedow ended life’s journey on Sept. 1 to be re-united with Ron, her high school sweetheart. They were married Sept. 10, 1939, in Denver and blessed with a beautiful daughter, Paula Yvonne.
She gave to us Steven Jay and Lisa Yvonne Johnson. Surviving is Bill Bookout, Paula’s loving partner in life and Yonnie, wife of Steven. Great-grandchildren are Kara Yvonne Welch, Sara Yvonne Johnson and Hank Vaughn and family. One great-great-grandchild who is Brayden Wages, son of Kara. Clayton and Cathy Wells, brother and sister-in-law, Norrine Turner, sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred is preceded in death by her love and best friend Ronald Wedow, parents Howard and Bertha Wells, brother Keith, sister Fern Haught and grandson Jason Vaughn.
Moving to Havasu with Paula and Bill in 2000 brought many good times playing pinnacle, cribbage, poker, traveling, gambling and darts. She loved her Wednesday night dart league at the Elks.
Millie will be interred in Denver, joining her high school sweetheart of many years.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations made be made to New Hope Hospice Lake Havasu City, AZ.
