Margaret M. Morton 91 years of age, longtime Tucson resident passed away on August 23, 2010. She was born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late William G. and Matilda Scott. After getting married, she and her husband resided here during the early '70s, while he was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. They later returned here to retire. Her husband, Lt. Col. William S. Morton, Jr., died December 20, 1984. Mrs. Morton was a long time volunteer with the TMC Hospice and was active with the Meals on Wheels program. Her interests included the Desert Fitness Center and quilting. She will be fondly remembered by her family for her wonderful baked goodies. She is survived by her children, William S. Morton III of Tucson, Margaret Anderson of Chandler, Mary Lou Comtois of Peoria and Scott D. Morton of Tucson. Margaret was very fond of Diana M. Deeran, William's life partner. She was predeceased by a son, Robert G. Morton in 1987. Margaret was proud of her grandchildren, Craig W. Morton of Tucson, Chad E. Morton of Phoenix, Colin Anderson of Chandler, Christopher Frommert of Peoria, Scott Frommert of Phoenix and Michele D'Auteuil of Lewiston, ME and great-grandchildren, Trevin W. Morton, Katarina Frommert and Avianna D'Auteuil. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY. Refreshments will be served after the service at Coronado Villas Clubhouse, 9225 E. Tanque Verde Rd.
