Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Saturday, April 26, 2008 James “Jim” Albert Fairbanks, 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Havasu City Thursday, April 24, 2008. He was born Aug. 29, 1939, in Buffalo, N.Y., to George Albert Fairbanks and Louise Mae (Scanlon). Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marines, after which he joined the police force in Oceanside, Calif., and then in Reno, Nev., retiring in 1994. He moved to Lake Havasu City five years ago from Kennerdell, Pa. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Susan Fairbanks, of Lake Havasu City; children, Ronald (Susan) Fairbanks, of Oceanside, Andrew (Katheryn Ann) Fairbanks, of Vista, Calif., Natalie (Mario) Fairbanks, of Reno, Bobby Fairbanks, of Reno and SrA James A. (Amanda) Fairbanks Jr. USAF, of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a loving grandfather to Matthew, Christopher, Allison, Andrea, Nelina and Tynan. He will be deeply missed by his family.
