Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Thursday, April 24, 2008 Eugene "Cricket" Clarence Vaughn, 83, of Anza, Calif., and the California side of Lake Havasu, went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2008, in Lakeside, Ariz. Cricket was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Union, Mo., to Pete and Christina (Hendrix) Vaughn. He spent the majority of his life in the Hemet, Calif., area after migrating to California with family in 1925. Cricket was a master mechanic and an innovative designer. He enjoyed racing, boating and fishing with family and friends. He is survived by his three sons, Mike (Jane) Vaughn, of Riverside, Calif., Mitchell Vaughn, of Florida, and Robert Vaughn, of Show Low; two daughters, Vickie (Steven) Metzger, of California and Debra Vaughn, of Show Low; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Yvonne. A memorial service will be held in October in Lake Havasu City. For further information, contact Deb Vaughn at tranch@yahoo.com.
