Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Monday, April 21, 2008 Ethel Virginia Jacobs, 86, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, in Lake Havasu City. Ethel was born Oct.22, 1921, in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Leonard and Catherine (Goodchild) Jacobs. Ethel moved to Lake Havasu City 35 years ago from Las Vegas, Nev. She was active in the Lions and Lioness Clubs in Lake Havasu City, volunteered and was active in various charitable organizations. Ethel was also a member of the Lake Havasu Yacht Club and Lake Havasu Baptist Church. Ethel is survived by her sisters, Marge Hanson, of Vista, Calif., Catherine Harrower, of Parksville, B.C., Canada, Lenora Phillips, of North Vancouver, B.C., Canada, and Donna Wilson of Courtney, B.C., Canada. She was preceded in death by her sister, Isabel Evans. No services are to be held. Her family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ethel’s name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
