Susan Terrell Reineberg (1953-2010)
Susan Terrell Reineberg died Sept. 2, 2010.
Sue was born September 20, 1953 in Catskill, New York to Elmer and Jeannette Terrell.
Her childhood home was the State of New York’s Tree Nursery at Saratoga Springs, New York.
Sue moved to Flagstaff in 1971 where she attended Northern Arizona University.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from the University Of Arizona in 1976 and worked for several health-care institutions including University of Arizona Medical Center, York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania and Flagstaff Hospital where she participated in air transport nursing care.
She loved hiking and the out-of-doors. She was proficient in carpentry, electronics, masonry, and auto mechanics.
She obtained her private pilot license, and she spent nearly two years building an experimental aircraft.
Sue had a special gift of training dogs, and although her favorite breed was the Springer Spaniel, she loved all canines.
She worked for several years as a meter reader for Arizona Public Service, and she knew the names of most of the dogs along her routes.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Edward Jere Reineberg of Flagstaff, five brothers: Gary, Michael, Peter, Jeffery, and Mark and one sister, Jan.
There will be no services.
Donations to the Coconino County Humane Society Shelter are suggested in lieu of flowers.
