Betty Lou Hardy

Betty Lou Hardy was born February 25, 1925 in Orcutt, California to Ray Flagg and Hattie Correll Flagg. She was raised in Santa Maria and attended schools there.
She later attended Alan Hancock College in Santa Maria and graduated with a degree in accounting. She married Ted Hardy in 1945 while he was serving in the military. They made their home briefly in Utah and Colorado and eventually back to Santa Maria and Santa Barbara.
Betty worked as an accountant at the University of California at Santa Barabara. In 1969 they took a trip to the Grand Canyon and fell in love with the area and she stayed. In 1971 she moved to Wickenburg and worked for Jones Ford and later the Town of Wickenburg as Town Clerk until she retired in 1985.
She was preceded in death by Husband Ted Hardy and sister Carrie Brower.
Betty is survived by son Mark Hardy of Willmington, Vermont, daughters Sally Correll of Marina, California and Kay Biller (Bruce) of Walnut, California. Grandchildren: Jerry Rouse (Janet), Kathy Naptui (Glen), Brian Correll, Stephanie Zumbruski (Jeremy), Robbie Hardy, Tyler Hardy, Petria Gonzales (Rich), Carrie Biller. 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, and nephew Tim Brower(Cindi).
Family services will be held at a later date.
The family suggests any memorial contributions in Betty's memory be made to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
