Kathryn "Kay" Garland, 65, a Kingman resident, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 6, 1945, in Eugene, Ore., and moved to Kingman in 1973.

Although a resident of Arizona for 37 years, her heart was always on the Oregon coastline. Kay was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed.

Kay is survived by three sons and five grandchildren.

The family will be conducting a private memorial service.
