Rebecca Jean Rich, 55, a resident of Lake Havasu City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010,. She was born June 9, 1955, in Harrisburg, Pa., to Kenneth Robert Gump Sr. and Ruth Pauline Galten.
Rebecca, known to friends and family as Becky, worked at Sierra-Sonora Enterprizes in Mesa until she became disabled. Becky had a “green thumb” and loved gardening and caring for her houseplants. She was also an avid reader whose collection of romance novels occupied several bookcases.
Becky is survived by her father; her children, Melissa Temple, Ryan Robert Rich, and Stephanie Lynn Rich; step-children, Racquel Redman and Michael Sean Rich; her siblings, Kenneth Robert Gump Jr., Edward Paul Gump Sr., and Jeanette Chacon; her granddaughter, Gillian Taya Temple; and seven step-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Michael Eugene Rich; her mother; and nephew, Lawrence “Punky” Kenneth Gerchman Jr.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in the chapel with a reception following. Funeral service will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel at 9 a.m. Sunday with burial to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
