Gary A. Hendy, 68, of Overgaard died Sept. 4, 2010, in Mesa from complications of surgery. He was born Oct. 10, 1941 in Phoenix and lived in Overgaard for 12 years. Gary served as an Army National Guard and was employed at Summit Healthcare. He retired from Garrett/Aligned Signal in 1998.

He was survived by his sons, Jeff of Payson, Phillip (Debbie) of Queen Creek, Rodney (Jacque) of Queen Creek; grandchildren Krystal, Joseph, Brent, Nathan and Nicole; and great grandchildren Killian, Liam and Mackenzie.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. in Chandler.
