Rodney Lee Cash died Sept. 16, 2007, in Heber of an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Union City, Ind. In Indiana, Rodney worked in farming, was a tree surgeon and did construction. He moved to Arizona 44 years ago and worked as an automobile mechanic and was a machinist at Honeywell.
His great loves were his family and dogs as well as building and riding motorcycles. Rodney is now in heaven riding his Harley.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara. He also leaves one son, Richard L. Cash, and three daughters, Ruth E. Arbgey, Cathy J. Hansen and Anna R. Cash.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Travis Slown, Kyle Slown, Nichole Arbgey and Michelle Arbgey; one brother, Darrel Cash of Greenville, Ohio; one sister, Edna Ross of Union City, Ind.; and five nephews and one niece in Indiana.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Westown First Southern Baptist Church, 11415 N. 35th Ave. (on the corner of Cholla and 35th Avenue) in Phoenix. The telephone is 602-993-8213.
The family wishes to acknowledge RTA Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that donations in Rodney's name may be sent to White Mountain Hospice Foundation, 1789 West Commerce Dr., Lakeside, AZ 85929.
