DOWDLE, Jane Patricia (Greaber), born March 17, 1921, died at the age of 89 on September 8, 2010. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her very sharp mind, humor and wit until the very end.
Pat was very proud of being a native Tucsonan, and was a wonderful homemaker for her five children. She was born at St. Mary's Hospital and attended St. Peter and Paul grade school, graduating from Tucson High School in 1938.
She is now resting at peace and without pain, joining her daughter, Patsie Otten, who passed before her. She is also preceded in death by husbands, Jack Berning and Clarence Dowdle; siblings, Marion Peeples, Margaret Bryant, Thomas Greaber and John Greaber. She is survived by son, Andrew Dowdle; daughters, Chris (Brad) White, Meg (Charles) Hudson, Susie (Charlie) Maish; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren with another due in October; brothers, James (Liz) Greaber, Andrew Greaber, Eugene (Audrey) Greaber; sister-in-law, Joanne Greaber and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Normandel Place and Rosa's Little House, Dr. Jeff Selwyn, and TMC Hospice for all their kind and loving care of Pat. Services to be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave., at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Pat requested donations to Casa De Los Ninos. Mom- You will be missed!!
