CORTEZ, Guadalupe G.

Guadalupe G. Cortez age 90, from Tucson, Arizona, passed to be with our Lord on September 6, 2010. She was born October 20, 1919 in Esqeda, Sonora. 

Guadalupe was united in marriage to Francisco A. Cortez on February 14, 1942 then became a widow in 1963. She follows her beloved mother, spouse, and eldest son. Her memory will be survived by her children, Miguel, Alma, Fernando and Lupita; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Guadalupe was an active member of the Legion of Mary prayer group at St. John's Catholic Church for 20 years. 

Services will be held Monday, September 13, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church located on the corner of Ajo Way and 12th Ave. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. and Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care, 1802 W. St. Mary's Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85745. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 520-327-6341.
